Large Crotched Mahogany Dining or Conference Table with Two Leaves
About the Item
An impressive large crotched mahogany top double pedestal dining or conference table, the polished top with a figured mahogany veneer border and molded edge, carved frieze decoration with gilt spherule accent, expanding to hold a custom fitted and finished leaf on each end (two leaves included), all supported by two nicely turned pedestals with four outswept reeded legs with gilt rosettes, terminating with conforming brass cap feet. The frieze ends are hinged to allow storage of the two additional leaves. The table is English or American dating to the 20th century and is in very good condition, with minor surface scratches, edge imperfections, minor finish restorations, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 29.25 in H x 155.38 W (with leaves in) x 51.5 in D; 119.25 in W (without leaves). Ref: 8
