Imposing 20th century country French farmhouse dining table made on a monumental scale measuring over 11 feet long. The table features a plank top crafted from oak timbers nearly 3 inches thick with a distinctive scalloped edge giving the table a whimsical rustic design. The large trestle features 4 inch thick square legs conjoined by a long stretcher having mortise and tenon joinery. The massive table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The large top has a lovely aged patina with age cracks as seen in photos. The table measures 23 inches from the floor to the apron. 20th century monumental country French provincial farmhouse dining table, refectory table, or harvest table measuring over 12.5 feet long. Hand-crafted from massive oak timbers the table features a 2.5 inch thick top supported by a rare triple pedestal trestle base. The gracefully curved legs have an hourglass form conjoined by a long stretcher. The stretcher is constructed with an exposed mortise and tenon joinery and the legs end with large 5.5 inch thick shoe feet. Substantial table that is very heavy and solid with a lovely aged, faded patina on the wood finish. The table was made to resemble an 18th century monastery table...

Substantial 19th century country French provincial farmhouse dining table hand-crafted from solid oak. The table features a monumental 2 inch thick top with breadboard ends. The top is supported by a trestle base having thick, chunky turned legs conjoined by H-shaped stretchers and ending with bun feet. Constructed with mostly wood peg joinery each end has a 10" inch overhang for diners and ample leg room measuring 23.5 inches from the floor to the apron. The rare large size is made in a monastery or refectory style. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table top showcases the distinctive woodgrains and has a desirable aged patina on the oak with age cracks and gaps to commensurate its age and use.
