Italian 19th Century Bleached Oak Farm Table with Baroque Style Carved Base

About the Item

An Italian bleached oak farm table from the 19th century, with Baroque style base, incised carved floral and geometric décor and wrought iron scrolling stretchers. Created in Italy during the 19th century, this farm table features a bleached oak finish perfectly complimenting the Baroque style lines. The table showcases a rectangular planked top sitting above lyre shaped legs, all adorned with a stylized incised décor depicting bouquets of flowers and geometric motifs such as triangles and squares. The side stretchers connecting the legs to one another are each carved in the center with a medallion depicting a radiating sun. The lyre-shaped base is linked to the top's underside thanks to scrolling wrought-iron stretchers, accented with acanthus leaves. The ensemble boasts a nicely weathered appearance. With its Baroque lines, bleached finish and nice proportions, this Italian oak and iron farm table from the 19th century will bring a touch of undeniable elegance to any home, particularly displayed in a dining room!.
