19th Century Kingwood Card Table
About the Item
19th century Kingwood and ormolu mounted card table, having a wonderful marquetry top profusely inlaid with floral decoration, ormolu running along the edge of the top with carved ormolu decoration in each corner, a marquetry inlaid shaped frieze below which is the same at the font, sides and back of the table, a drawer at one end which pulls out to reveal backgammon playing surface, having a fold over swivel top which open out to revel a green baize playing surface with Greek key decoration running around the edge, supported on cabriole legs each with ormolu mounts, circa 1870.
