Wylie & Lochhead Oak Server or Cabinet, William & Mary Style, Late 19th Century
About the Item
Wylie & Lochhead, Oak server or cabinet, William and Mary Style, late 19th century, an original finish dark oak diminutive server done in highland oak, nice dark patina, original brass hardware, with no issues. The server has a single drawer, scalloped front and sides with raised half bead decoration, the drawer has recessed trimmed front for handles.
The server or cabinet has hand-cut dovetails on the drawer and dark finished interior. The base is a typical William & Mary Style on a stylized X stretcher base with a center finial decoration ending in a scrolled turned foot.
The server measures 28" inches wide x 18" inches wide x 28" inches high.
The back has the Original Wylie & Lochhead Ltd. label, 45 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, By Special Appointment to H.M.The King.
