About the Item

Absolute outstanding, one of kind Art Nouveau Palisander Table from the very early 20th century in Vienna around 1905. This impressive antique coffee table is not just a "normal" table - much more, it is a masterpiece of furniture art. Coming from an old Vienesse manor house, this elaborately crafted table was commissioned by a very wealthy family as another part of the master´s office (see also our matching writing desk) and is an absolutely unique item. Artfully designed and made with only the finest materials like this amazing palisander veneer, this exceptional octagonal shaped table convinces with an outstanding quality. An incredible piece from the famous Vienna Secession period standing on eight artfully crafted, slightly ebonized legs, each highlighted by extraordinary looking patterns made with delicate inlayed brass stripes and unusual designed burl wood fields with round, different shimmering mother of pearl inlays. Addtionally all table legs were mounted with fantastic looking, shiny brass feet which confers this Art Nouveau table a peerless appearance. The beautiful table top, upholstered in fine leather, shows the still original pad in absolute great condition. Finished with a traditional shellac polish this masterpiece of an Art Nouveau coffee/ side table is an absolute unique gem.
