About the Item

Danish teak tray table (Model 4508) designed in 1958 by Svend Åge Willumsen and Hans Engholm for Fritz Hansen. Exemplifies the marriage of form and function, revealing to be both practical and expertly crafted while maintaining its Minimalist elegance. The circular tray top is supported by a deeply sculpted base. The tray can be removed for serving or for easy storage when not in use. The base features a built in steel mechanism which allows for full collapsibility. Large enough to serve as a more substantial side table or a smaller coffee table. Size: Height 17" x diameter 23.5" Retains the foil Fritz Hansen / Danish control label Expertly refinished condition; only minor wear to the support rail of the base which holds the tray top (not visible when the top is in place).
