Original Folk Art Painted Side Table With Large Drawer, Hungary circa 1890
About the Item
This side table is both unique and charming, thanks to the original painted finish and the decoratively carved trestle "X" style base.
Note the traditional folk art style of paint, with flowers and flourishes embellishing the top, deep drawer and table base. The finish has been worn down throughout, in some sections all the way to the natural pine below indicating generations of use.
This table has been restored, so it is strong, stable and ready for use. Will make a great accent table or even small desk.
All scratches, cracks (see top), dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this delightful table.
