Antique French carved dark oak sofa table foyer console trestle black forest 19c ~Direct from France~ ~Superb 19th century French carved sofa table with a stunning silhouette and a large, almost 5 ft. length!~ ~Hand carved band to the top, with wide, carved beveled edge.~ ~Large frieze has carved floral blocks to either side of the highly carved dual drawers. Carved floral designs with each drawer having two original carved wood rosette drawer pulls.~ ~Large, thick shaped panels on either side are cared to the front and both the interior and exterior, with dimensional floral designs, Black Forest style.~ ~Wide lower shelf provides additional display area and features carved banding to the top and front.~ ~”Trestle” style silhouette is completed with the large, shaped feet, carved to the fronts and sides~ ~Quality throughout with dovetailed drawers and dovetail joinery on the back. Well built by craftsmen of the period!~ ~c1880~ Measurements 32.5”ht. x 59” x 22.5”.
