This is breathtakingly beautiful piece of English art masquerading as a writing desk or ladies vanity. The vanity is painted in the Adams style depicting a man and woman in a courtship scene. The paint decorations and crackled age to the finish really add extraordinary character to this outrageously charming piece. The desk is in good condition with minor signs of age and a missing key plate. The finish and leather have time-worn distressing. Dates to teh 1900-1910s era and is English.
Measures 31 tall x 52.5 wide x 26 inches deep. Needs keyplate and minor detailing.
