J. Georges Baltz (1760-1831) was a noted artist hailing from Strasbourg, primarily known as a portrait miniaturist and enamel painter. He worked together on several occasions with Feuillet, the celebrated Parisian porcelain decorator who set up his business in 1814 when King Louis XVIII first succeeded Napoleon Bonaparte.
Jean-Pierre Feuillet (1777-1840)
Feuillet was a noted Parisian porcelain decorator working from Rue de la Paix, where he established a studio in July of 1814. Feuillet gained a reputation as one of the best porcelain decorators in the city, and this at the height of production in Paris. He used blanks from a variety of manufacturers including Nast and the Darte Frères. His studios were taken over in 1840 by Boyer, who continued the Feuillet legacy after Jean-Pierre's death.
