About the Item

“Serra Floreale” – Authentic Italian Fresco of a Classical Conservatory Garden, 100 x 150 cm This exquisite fresco, titled “Serra Floreale” ("Floral Conservatory"), captures the serenity and elegance of a Roman-style orangerie or glasshouse, richly adorned with climbing vines, exotic plants, and large arched windows. Its vibrant botanical composition and architectural illusion evoke the beauty of a neoclassical winter garden—a space that could just as well belong in a villa in Tivoli or classical Rome. Hand-painted by a master artist using traditional buon fresco technique, this artwork was executed on fresh lime plaster and later carefully transferred to canvas using the rare Calicot method, a specialty of the prestigious Mariani Affreschi atelier in Italy. It retains the fine surface texture, lime granularity, and slight age patina typical of historic murals. This fresco is certified (Work No. 1001) and signed on the wooden frame by Michelangelo, a contemporary artist within the Mariani Affreschi studio — not to be confused with the Renaissance master of the same name.
