Albert Chubac was born in 1925 in Geneva. Figuration Libre: In 1947, Albert Chubac, a graduate of the Geneva School of fine Arts, left for Algeria and produced his figurative paintings on paper. On his return, he met many artists, including Nicolas de Staël, who had a significant influence on his work. He continued his travels around the Mediterranean as far as Greece and Egypt; his future work (colour palette, pictorial references), strongly influenced by Egyptian Antiquity...
