Born in Orizaba, Veracruz in 1935, Esteban Cruz at the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City. His first important exhibition was held the Antonio Souza Gallery in 1968. A multifaceted artist who dominated different media, he exhibited during the 1970s and 1980s in different galleries in Mexico and the United States.
