Soviet propaganda painting: celebration of the meeting of Red Army soldiers with peasants
Two Red Army scouts are warmly welcomed by a village of poor peasants, their horses are water and they are considered heroes.
Surely a figurative propaganda vision of the Russian Civil War (1917-1923) where the Red Army would have been welcomed as a liberator by the populations of the Russian Empire.
USSR, 1983.
This painting is most certainly an official commission painting and must have been in a USSR state building.
Fair condition, cracks, gaps.
