Original Clair Seglem Still Life Fruit Painting of Fruit on Table
About the Item
A landscape still life painting of fruit and white vessels on a table. Measures: 13" x 17.5". This lovely painting depicts deep purple plums and green pears sitting upon a table. A white bowl holds a handful of plums and sits next to biscuit bin also in white. The table is covered in a white fabric tablecloth, and a portion of the wooden table peeks through. The background is a deep green.
This piece was found at the late artist’s studio among other pieces. It is painted on paper, and seems to have some signs of wear to the edges. This piece is ready for framing.
About the artist:
This piece is by the late Oklahoma artist and retired Air Force man Clair Seglem. Seglem painted into his 1990s before passing at his Oklahoma residence. He was known for his striking portraits and still life paintings.
