Jose Arpa (1858-1952), known as “The Colorist Painter” of figures and landscapes was born in Carmona, Spain. His works demonstrate the brilliant legacy of a Spanish painter who loved the light and people of the places he lived. "House by the Lake" Oil on canvas, signature lower left 10” H x 25.5” W, overall size is 13” x 28.5” circa 1900-1910.
