- Condition:Additions or alterations made to the original: This capriccio was likely part of a larger work as evidenced in the manner the canvas has been cut & affixed to the later wood panel. Wear consistent with age and use. The canvas is structurally sound and exhibits an old varnished surface, which will greatly benefit if cleaned by a qualified conservator. The period water gilded & gesso frame showing areas of loss.
