This is an original not a reprint and is signed by the artist.
John Michael Eckert, is a rare artist, of all the techniques: drawing, watercolor, oil, wash, inks, sculpture, ceramic.. He mastered. Known mainly for his mastery of light and his pictorial work, he is currently working on ceramic techniques, which he teaches, such as painting and drawing, at Villefranche-sur-mer municipal school.
Particularly related to the sea and its protection, he is an ardent defender, as evidenced by his constant presence in the various exercises of his work.
He is, as such, an artist engaged in the illustration and the defense of our ecological heritage.
His paintings, drawings and ceramics testify to this beautifully.
He is also a great painter, a superb draftsman, and a great water colorist: an active witness of the countries he crossed during his many travels to Asia, Africa, the British Isles, which have been the subject of remarkable exhibitions ...
Through these exhibitions, both in France and abroad, his works, present in many prestigious private collections, finally acquire the legitimate reputation of the great creators.
In Villefranche, the many frescoes and paintings, owned by the municipality, are close to those of Cocteau, and attest to the recognition of his talent and his pictorial mastery.
