Beautiful and sober print after a still life of German artist Friedrich Meckseper. This print announced an exhibition of the artist at the "Galerie Jalmar" in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
This print is in very good condition with some creasing on the edges do to age and usage. See pictures for details.

Friedrich Meckseper (1936 - 2019 )
Painter and print-maker Friedrich Meckseper was born in Bremen, Germany.
In 1952 he began his studies at the State Academy for Visual Arts in Stuttgart under Karl Rössing and at the College of Visual Arts in Berlin under Wolf Hoffmann where he produced his first engravings. His work, characterized by highly precise, minimalist arrangements, has received numerous awards. Meckseper was a guest professor at the Comprehensive College in Wuppertal where he led its Engraving class.
