Antique print titled 'Woede van 't Kaas- en Broods-Volk, te Haarlem in 't jaar 1492'. Old print of the rebellion in Haarlem, 1492. It shows riots by farmers on the square of Haarlem. At the right, it shows the murder of Claes van Ruyven. This print originates from 'Vaderlandsche historie' by Jan Wagenaar. Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Simon Fokke. Simon Fokke (Amsterdam, 1712 - 1784) was a Dutch engraver, etcher and designer. He was a student of Jan Caspar Philips, and worked mainly in book illustration. Condition: Fair/good, general age-related toning. Original folding lines. Some staining and wear. Blank verso. Please study image carefully. Date: c.1750 Overall size: 20.5 x 16.5 cm.
