Framed Early 19th Century Mezzotint of Lady Carrington after Sir Thomas Lawrence A finely detailed early 19th century coloured mezzotint engraving of Lady Carrington, engraved by Charles Rolls (British, active 1820–1832) after the original portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence PRA. This intimate small-format print captures the elegance of Regency portraiture, with delicate colouration and finely handled detail typical of Rolls' mezzotint work. The sitter, Lady Carrington, is depicted seated in a classically draped interior, rendered with clarity and poise. Presented under glass in a richly carved and gilded Italian frame in the Rococo style, likely late 20th century. A well-composed piece ready to hang and enjoy.
