About the Item

The hand-colored engraving features a selection of birds, each intricately detailed and labeled in Dutch. At position 46, the "Korhoen" (or Black Grouse) is depicted, showcasing its distinctive plumage and characteristics. Next, at position 47, the "Flamingos vogel" (Flamingo bird) graces the illustration, displaying its elegant and vibrant hues. The "Kroonvogel" (Crowned bird) occupies position 48, likely denoting a bird with regal or crowned features. Then, at 49, the "Struysvogel" (Ostrich) stands tall, possibly depicted with its recognizable long neck and feathery appearance. Finally, at position 50, the "Ey vande Struysvogel" (Egg of the Ostrich) is represented, potentially showcasing the distinct appearance of an ostrich egg. The engraving is adorned with hand-colored touches, adding depth and vibrancy to each bird's portrayal. These detailed renderings provide a captivating glimpse into the avian world, illustrating the diversity and allure of various bird species.
