Original Piranesi Framed Engraving of a Monument in the Form of a Cornucopia

About the Item

Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Italian 1720-1778) Engraving on wove paper depicting an ancient Roman funeral monument in the form of a cornucopia from the Via Appia in Rome. The etching is from the 1st Paris edition printed by Piranesi's son. Provenance: Childs Gallery, Boston 1988. Now archivally framed and glazed.
