Framed in a simple, clean lined black lacquered wooden gallery frame. We have four examples of this print. Look great by themselves, or together, as seen in the second photo. The price noted below is for ONE framed lithograph. Savelli lived in Italy until 1953, when he moved to New York City, where he spent most of his life. Once in New York City, he became friends with all of the abstract greats, including Robert Motherwell, Ad Reinhardt and Barett Newman. He shared studio space and worked with Franz Kline and William Dekooning. He was represented by Leo Castelli at various points in his career. Savelli's works are collected by major museums worldwide. Angelo Savelli was a self-taught Italian artist born in Pizzo Calabro in 1911. He is best known for his white paintings. Savelli lived in Italy until 1953 when he moved to New York City, where he spent most of his life. Once in New York City, he became friends with all of the abstract greats, including Robert Motherwell, Ad Reinhardt and Barett Newman. He shared studio space and worked with Franz Kline and William De Kooning. He was represented by Leo Castelli at various points in his career. Savelli's works are collected by major museums worldwide.
