18th Century French Bizarre Needlepoint Panel

About the Item

The early 18th century (circa 1720) needlework panel worked in wool and silk threads, with a central Female figure playing a musical instrument amongst fruiting and blossoming trees, all worked in petit-point Against a wonderful exuberant 'Bizarre' design . Previously a long seat back cover, now mounted (tacked at edges ) onto a wooden board, Antique condition with gentle signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Overall good for age and type Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description SIZE 40 inches high x 24 inches wide (102cm x 61cm) PLEASE NOTE.
