19th Century Aubusson Tapestry Portiere/ Door surround
About the Item
19th Century French Aubusson tapestry Portiere or door surround.
Woven with floral foliage on a cream ground, bordered by trompe l'oeil swags and tassels. Hessian backed.
Note: Our images do not fully show the size of this remarkable portiere, as our showroom is simply not tall enough. Please see the sizes listed to get a true likeness of size. Ideally suitable for a tall door way, however the two sides can be simply shortened to fit a smaller opening.
Ideal for a stately home, or to simply achieve that 'faded grandeur' look of the country estate. Nothing dresses a room more perfectly whilst adding colour and a little magic.
