About the Item

-Three pheasants by René Perrot (Les Trois Faisans) -236 x 172 cm ; 8 x 6 ft -Aubusson tapestry woven at Pinton Frères workshop From 1945, René Perrot fully devoted himself to tapestry, and from 1946 on participated in annual exhibition of French tapestry at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. He produced more than 500 cartoons, executed by the great tapestry manufactures, Rivière des Borderies, Ateliers Pinton, Tapisserie d’Aubusson. He continued all his life to engrave, on wood and in etching, and was also a recognized ceramicist. He has participated in numerous personal or collective exhibitions in France and abroad, and in numerous art fairs. You can see his works at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, at the Mobilier National, at the Museum of hunting, history and nature in the Loire Valley of the Château- museum of Gien, at the Museum of Art and History of Dreux.
