This choker necklace was purchased by a Hillsborough, California Grande Dame at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York in the 1960's.

Mr. Lane designed for Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Vreeland and Audrey Hepburn. This necklace has an exquisite and iconic shell design clasp. His jewelry during this period used fine stones that he personally developed with his supplier in Germany. The logo Kenneth © Lane is an early mark for his pieces sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue. The © symbol is dead set in the logo. The pearls are graduated: 5mm to 8mm. The length of pearls and clasp measures 17 inches.
