This beautiful antique 15kt gold, Turquoise and Pearl locket is really a very special and sentimental piece.
Rich aged 15kt yellow gold with a pretty wreath of forget me not flowers to the front adorned with tiny, creamy seed pearls and lush turquoise cabs, the colours working so well with the rich yellow gold.
Internally the locket features the original, regal, hand painted portraits of two young ladies, possibly the wearer's daughters, likely from a wealthy household as the ladies in the portraits are both wearing fine Jewels and the portraits are of a high quality
This locket is a fine piece and a must have for any collector of antique jewellery.
It has a large Integral bale ready to hang from your favourite chain or necklace.
Marks and era:
Victorian era, c1880s, unmarked, tests as 15ct gold.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with signs of age and use, there is a mark to the reverse with some small light overall surface scratches and wear.
