About the Item
An antique amethyst, pearl, and yellow gold pendant, comprising one round cut amethyst, one cushion-shaped amethyst, one oval-shaped amethyst, and twenty-six half seed pearls, in 9 karat yellow gold.
My favourite thing about this Antique 9K Yellow Gold Amethyst and Pearl Pendant is the elegant shape. What’s yours? Perhaps the vibrant amethysts? Or the shimmering pearls?
This antique pendant is set to the centre cushion-shaped amethyst. The amethyst is held within a millegrain edged bezel setting and is a vibrant purple. The central amethyst is surrounded by beautiful foliate, openwork tendrils, set with shimmering seed pearls. The pearls are pale, lustrous, and well-matched with one another. From the bottom of the pendant, an oval-shaped amethyst drop is suspended, within a millegrain edged bezel setting. The pearl set section is suspended from an articulated chain section, which drops from a bezel set, round cut amethyst. The pendant is in good condition, the round cut amethyst has as chip to one of the facets. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
