About the Item

Fox turquoise dog tag pendant. The 1 1/2” x 1” turquoise is in a sterling silver setting on a 30” ball chain. The Fox Turquoise mine, located near Lander County was discovered in the early 1900’s. The Fox mine, once known as the Cortez, has been one Nevada’s largest producing mines for about a century. The Fox mine is still producing today. Today Fox Turquoise is produced in many shades of beautiful blue, wonderful greens and aqua that may have white marks, deep black matrix, or just stone. The product varies from fine vein material to chunky, nuggets with wonderful natural water webbing. About the Artist Aldrich Art is a cottage industry currently located in southern Colorado.
