Fabergé Glass Bottle with Silver Lid

About the Item

A Fabergé glass bottle with silver lid, comprising a barrel shaped cut-glass bottle, glass 'stopper' with rectangular finial, outer silver lid with domed top tappering to a moulded ribbed base, gross weight 851grams, bearing makers marks for Faberge, Moscow 1899-1908. This charming cut glass bottle was made by Fabergé and comes from the Fabergé collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Fabergé was established in St Petersburg in 1842, and by the late nineteenth century, was Russia’s largest and best-known jewellery house. The house has become known for their royal commissions and their close ties to the family of Tsar Nicholas II. This bottle features delicate cut glass with a fine silver lid and glass stopper. The bottle has an elegant barrel shape and is an excellent example of the types of fine glass objects that Fabergé produced in the early twentieth century. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
