About the Item

French or German 18th Century 10K Gold and Silver dress ring set with openwork crown decorated with tiered rows of fine diamonds and a central natural White Sapphire set in Silver Clusters.. This ring is an exceptionally rare piece and dates to ca. second half of the 18th century .The design is extremely opulent with three separate tiers of hand set diamonds cascading from a central White Sapphire down to diamond set shoulders. All stones of the crown have open backs. The crown measures 31 mm x 23 mm x 8 mm deep. Natural White Sapphire cushion cut 12 mm x 11.3mm x 6.5 mm /ca. 8ct. + 88 old cut diamonds ,diameters ranging 1.25mm - 3 mm with a total carat weight of approximately 3 carats. Weight : 8.3 gr Size Ø US 5.25. Can be sized for additional payment. Fine used condition.
