A Pair Solid Silver hallmarked Candelabra "Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez", Madrid Villa y Corte 1822. Celestino Espinosa, goldsmith. Madrid Villa y Corte y Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez. 18th - 19th century. Rare and unique antique pair of candlesticks with openwork stem in stipe and flower-shaped lighter candle holders. Height 17.5 cm. and weight 816.5 gr. Non counterweight. On the lateral basis edges there is the mark of the Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez, one of the most important industrial establishments of the Enlightenment during the reign of Carlos III, and responsible for the best goldsmith work made in Spain in the 18th and 19th centuries. The other two, correspond to the marks of contrast, Villa and Court of Madrid, providing the place of creation of the same that, by its popularity, were a model of great success of which are preserved examples in prominent private collections and museums such as the Prado and Cerralbo of Madrid . Similar pieces auctioned in Christie´s 2011 (The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection). *Madrid Villa y Corte and Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez, 18th-19th century.
