About the Item

Set of 2 antique sterling silver luncheon forks by Gorham in the Versailles pattern. Engraving on the top back of each handle. One fork is engraved, "AC July 20 1910" and the other fork is engraved, "AC July 10, '09" Gorham's Versailles is a multi motif pattern designed by Antone Heller in 1885. Named for the Palace of Versailles, the pattern depicts scenes from life at Versailles. These forks feature a winged figure holding a basket of fruit surrounded by ornate detailing. Measures 6 3/4" long, 7/8" wide across tines. Weighs 122.1g, 78.5dwt total Marked: Lion, anchor, G STERLING M Very nice condition with some slight scratches and mild tarnish.
