The Academicians' Room

Entertainment/Cultural by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio in London, GB

Located in the eastern wing of the Royal Academy of Arts’ historic Burlington House building, The Academicians’ Room utilises the impressive space originally designed by Norman Shaw RA in 1883. Revolving around the idea of a drawing room, the member’s only space acts as a meeting point for likeminded creatives, with a sociable yet serene environment as eclectic and varied as the characters who inhabit it. Working with the grandiose architectural detailing and layering in a selection of vintage and bespoke furnishings, a haute-bohemian multifunctional space was created, capable of transitioning from day to night seamlessly.
