City is an original drawing in pencil made by the Hungarian artist Nicolas Czinober in the mid-20th century.The state of preservation is good, the paper presents some small stains.

The sketch of City is a beautiful artwork, demonstrating the artist’s admirable draftsmanship in drawing, in immediate strokes, and in strongly expressive chiaroscuro.
Nicolas Czinober (1899-1984) is a painter, draftsman, and art restorer. After attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, he wins a scholarship to travel in Italy and in France, where he settles and spends most of his life. He becomes very famous as 16th-and-17th-century art conservator, especially of the works by the painter Jorge La Tour. Anyhow, this occupation did not prevent him from taking part in important art exhibitions and from realizing numerous paintings and drawings.

Nicolas Czinober
Nicolas Czinober is a painter, draftsman and art restorer. After attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, he won a scholarship to travel to Italy and France, where he settled and spent most of his life. He became very famous as a 16th- and 17th-century art conservator, especially of the works by the painter Jorge La Tour. However, this occupation did not prevent him from taking part in important art exhibitions and from realizing numerous paintings and drawings.
