A finely detailed watercolour study of a dead sparrow. This painting - as well as another by the same artist of a robin, also listed on our website (sr717) - was exhibited at the London International Exhibition of 1872. Both paintings can be found in the catalogue for the exhibition. Signed and indistinctly dated to the lower right. Well presented in a gilt-effect frame. On paper.
