Clara Berta is a Hungarian-American contemporary abstract painter who for over a period of 25 years has become widely known for her brilliant and luminous poured paintings, primarily of biomorphic forms in multiple layers of acrylic on a bright white ground. Berta's works embody the vibrancy and tranquility of the natural world through her repeated use of overlapping organic forms and the layering of harmonious colors. The dynamic and restorative potential of water is another enduring source of inspiration, specifically the artist's close California connection to the majesty and mystery of the ocean and her Hungarian heritage where thermal springs are widely acknowledged for their healing properties.

Clara Berta studied at The Santa Reparata School of Art in Florence, Italy, and learned printmaking in the US. Her paintings have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including in Europe, China, Dubai, and The Chiba City Museum of Art in Japan. Her work has also been featured in high-profile film and television productions on such prominent networks such as Disney, 20th Century Fox, ABC, and CBS.
