Untitled (Fabric Design) Annotated on the verso with the studio address of the artist Signed in ink lower right corner: “Marguerite Gross” Gouache on heavy paper, 1930-1939 In 1930 the artist Anthony Gross married the French fashion artist Marcelle Marguérite (Daisy) Florenty and moved into her Paris studio in the Hameau-Boileau. They remained married until the death of her husband in 1984. Condition: Samll tears, a few extending into the image, not objectionable. Framed in 22k white gold rounded corner frame with glass. Sight: 23 1/4 x 15 1/4" Frame: 32 5/8 x 24 5/8"
