In this work, the artist reflects about the idea of the end of the painting and works after a long reflection about the idea of painting and art. The artwork is characterized by a simple pure acrylic painting on canvas with the presence of four linear cuts on the surface, in the center of the space. The four cuts are put together with a simple and rude twine that create a sense of union and cohesion. The artist reflects on the concept of the beauty of the painting.
Mario Bigetti, a Roman contemporary artist and art merchant and coinnesseur. He is also an expert of the Old master painting of the Roman scene of the XVII and the XVIII Century. The old painting is present in his work; the idea of the seams, indeed, wants to re-create the original sense of the painting. He starts from the idea of the end of the painting (as Lucio Fontana did with his well-known cuts on the surface of his artworks), but with its seams and the twine, he operates a re-union and a return of the painting in its origin.

Mario Bigetti is a Roman contemporary artist, an art merchant and a connoisseur. He is also an expert on the Old master painting of the Roman scene between the 17th and the 18th century.
