SPRING EQUINOX CYCLE II is a painting about the rebirth of spring, sort of an homage to new
growth, and new life. I was making a lot of monotypes at the time so I was really feeling the use
of a brayer mark as a placeholder for color.

Liza lives and works between Nashville, TN , Allison Park, PA and Lake Tahoe, California. She graduated with her MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2020 and graduated from the University of Dayton in 2017 where she studied Fine Art and Biology. She currently teaches printmaking and painting at multiple universities and advises art students. Her passion for environmentalism and love of nature continually inform her artistic practice, which is an amalgamation of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and bio-art.
