About the Item
"Over the Finger Lakes," Oil on Canvas, 40 x 44 Inches is a highly realistic landscape which depicts a series of the fingers lakes in New York State seen from an aerial view in deep blues and greens, with a streak of white light that divides the image into sky with a suggestion of clouds and water with greenery. MacNeille captures the moment perfectly and this canvas is painted with all the elegance and attention to detail of the best of the 19th century Hudson River artists.
MacNeille is a beautiful painter of landscapes in general, always with careful attention to light and time of day, as well beach scenes, water, and Niagara Falls.
