Vibrant modernist self-portrait by California artist Sandra Lobue-Erba (American, 1945-2007). Signed lower middle edge. Unframed. Image: 21"H x 20"W.
Provenance: Purchased from artist's daughter in Aptos, California.
Sandra Lobue-Erba painted in a free-flowing abstract style inspired by her trips to Italy. Sandy was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Saratoga, California at a young age. She graduated from Campbell High School. Sandra was a local art instructor and world traveler. Sandy was an accomplished artist, painting with watercolor and acrylic. Her art interests also included making jewelry, ceramics, and sewing. Her works were abstract to figurative.
