In this painting, the artist situates his gaze towards the blue Catskill Mountains at sunset. Green fields, turning a golden brown suggest the stages in season. Fall foliage, made with shades of umber brown and sienna orange, are pictured in the foreground. Paint is applied in a painterly, gestural manner where some texture is built upon the surface. The painting is complemented with a handmade black painted wood frame, measuring 9.75 x 10 inches.
