This scenic painting captures the raw beauty of a mountain valley with a winding river cutting through dense forests and rugged peaks. The artist's skillful use of perspective draws the viewer's eye from the foreground riverbank and trees, to the distant mountain pass where a cart horse has just emerged. Illegibly signed and dated to the lower left. On canvas on stretchers.
