Huge 19th Century landscape from the Canadian Great Lakes of a Moose at the bank of the lake, oil on canvas. Exceptional scale and detail view of the extensive Canadian landscape at one of its Great Lakes with a moose int he foreground during the early hours of sunrise amid the pines and the mists over the water. Rare early account of the region by an accomplished painted, signed indistinctly. Presented in a superb original handmade gilt frame.
