In the lower left corner is unidentified signature and the date '80. On the frame metal plate marked "Ashelard Holland 1880."
The scenic vista, a vast cultivated countryside with gentle slopes, is traversed by a waterway, navigated by a few boats; on the bank to the left, a small cluster of houses, with a small church; some wayfarers cross each other on the path.
Still in first canvas, the painting is presented in an early 20th-century gilded frame.
