About the Item

Nocturnal seascape by Vasil (Victor) Papkov (20th Century). A dark storm hangs over the ocean, with mixed hues of black, blue, purple and red. At the horizon, the red is strongest, contrasting nicely with the grey and white sea. The artist has scratched into the board to create the illusion of falling rain. Signed in the lower right corner. No frame. Board size: 12"H x 16"W Vasil Papkov (20th Century) primarily painted with his fingers, and prints can be seen in the finished compositions.
